2013 - 2023 (11 years) Amazon Corp. Sr. UX Designer

At Amazon I started working on a production design team within Amazon Digital Devices Group (Tablets, Echo Show, Alexa, FireTV, etc). I was on a team that launched a design system for the Fire phone and FireOS tablets, Alexa and Fire TV. This allowed me to learn how device UI/UX systems are built and integrated. After gaining valuable knowledge I was able to lead a small team of UX designers to build the internal FireOS Design Guide which set the standard and raised the bar across Amazon for Design System communication. At Amazon I’ve lead/owned Scrum using JIRA, establishing production workflows, Strategic UX product planning and roadmap development, UX design patterns, UI pixel perfection, product design, web design, mobile design and lead a small team for 3 years. Most recently I was lead designer at Amazon WorkDocs within AWS designing an Enterprise file storage and collaboration application.

Responsibilities include leading design efforts, work with development and collaborate with internal and external partners to give clients the best possible creative solution. Support million dollar accounts that require extensive problem solving and creative execution. Manage Vendors during migrations and recommendations for hire, participate in interview process. Work under extremely tight deadlines with high quality output. Leading design efforts for NUads (concepts, design, prototype, specs/redlines, worked with dev). NUads are like television advertisements, presented through the Xbox 360 dashboard, that feature Kinect voice interactivity. NUads transform standard 30-second TV spots into engaging and actionable experiences using the power of voice and gesture controls of Kinect for Xbox 360.
